These rapidly increasing smarts are also being displayed in Remy, from Ratatouille. He attempts to cook, something only humans do, after realizing that there is a lot more to life than living in 'The Nest' with his family, who strongly despise people. He explores activities and ways of life that are not associated with being an animal, and is expanding his range of human-like abilities. This demonstrates rapid mental growth in the creatures, and that their thoughts are developing even more deeply than previously assumed.
